VPL discusses medical freight shipping strategies with Healthcare Purchasing News
When Healthcare Purchasing News was planning to feature an article on medical freight shipping strategies, they contacted our VP of Business Development, Don Carroll, to give them his insights on the subject. Specifically, they wanted to know if freight and shipping issues should be aligned with distribution and inventory strategies in order to better manage costs. Don was quick to point out that in many cases, it’s not simply sending and receiving goods where the costs mount, but in moving goods between facilities in IDNs and multi-hospital systems. It was a great opportunity for us to share the news that VPL is developing a technology solution which will ultimately enable our customers to track products all the way from the original shipper through their network and to the final point of patient care.
