Why VPL decided to put roots in Columbus, Ohio
VPL’s Chief Innovation Officer and Co-founder, Scott Crow, tells The Metropreneur why our growing city was (and is) a great choice. It has a great location, a great cost of living, and proximity to Fortune companies and higher education institutions, but, according to Scott Crow, the number one reason VPL chose to locate in Columbus, Ohio was its network of people. “People wanted, and were willing to, help.” he recounts in a recent online The Metropreneur article. “There’s a level of openness and collaboration not often found in business communities.”
As VPL continues to grow and transition from a logistics company to a tech company, Columbus’s 2017 ranking as SmartAsset’s “Best City for Tech Workers in the U.S.” helps too. And the best, it seems, is yet to come, as more startups grow and move to the area, Columbus’ profile is rising.
