VPL’s Supply Chain Logistics Platform has achieved TX-RAMP Level 2 Certification, reinforcing our commitment to protecting sensitive healthcare data and meeting the highest standards for cloud security and risk management.
The Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program (TX-RAMP) establishes a standardized approach for assessing cloud services used by Texas state agencies, higher education institutions, and other public-sector entities. Level 2 Certification represents the highest impact category under TX-RAMP, applicable to cloud solutions that process or store moderate to high-impact, mission-critical, sensitive or confidential data.
Achieving TX-RAMP Level 2 Certification means VPL has successfully completed an extensive, independent security assessment and demonstrated strong controls across data protection, access management, incident response, and ongoing monitoring. This authorization provides additional assurance to health systems, pharmacies, and public-sector organizations that rely on VPL to manage the movement of critical medications and supplies.
"Achieving TX-RAMP Level 2 Certification is the result of deliberate engineering and a culture that treats security as foundational—not optional," said Dave Keene, Senior Vice President of Engineering at VPL. "This authorization provides assurance to customers and public-sector organizations evaluating VPL's security posture."
For customers, this authorization delivers real, practical value:
1.) Confidence in data protection for sensitive patient, shipment, and operational information
2.) Faster procurement and reduced security review friction for Texas public-sector organizations
3.) Alignment with industry-recognized security frameworks, supporting broader compliance initiatives
Security, trust, and reliability are foundational to how we build and operate VPL. TX-RAMP Level 2 Authorization is another step in ensuring our platform is not only powerful and scalable—but also secure enough to support the most complex and regulated healthcare environments.
